Too tiny icons

Hello there, I bought the quantum pc to use it with a 40″ tv. It takes the whole screen but the icons are too small to see them (the letters) I can barely read. I made them bigger but then my email doesn’t work because of my “fix”.
A few days ago (Black Friday) I bought a new 55″ curved tv thinking this will help with the issue… On the contrary it becomes worse.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thank you.

Byte3, no audio or video, home theater receiver, hdmi

Equipment List
Source: Byte3
A/V Receiver: Sony STR-DN1080
TV: Panasonic TC-P55ST30

Problem/Issue
No audio or video signal feed detected when the Byte3 is connected to the a/v receiver via hdmi.
Same hdmi cable and port connected to a 7 year old laptop, PS4, Fire TV stick, and Steam Link and everything functions correctly.
The Byte3’s hdmi was tested on all the a/v receiver hdmi input ports, no audio or video signal feed.
The Byte3’s audio and video does work via hdmi, functionality achieved when directly connected to the TV and computer monitor via hdmi.

Notes
The Byte3’s OS was updated to the current version available of Windows via automatic update BEFORE being connected to the a/v receiver.
No update has been done to the Byte’s firmware or drivers.
A/v receiver supports HDCP 2.2.

I will update the Byte3’s firmware and drivers and report back.

Power on Boot up

Hey Guys,

I am using the quantum byte as a media server running ubuntu. You guys helped me lots in getting it going. One thing that would make it better is if I can have it power on when it boots. I
saw your video and it talked about a jumper. When I opened the box I saw no jumper. Is there a bios setting anywhere? Is there some way for me to get it to power on? I attached a smart
plug to it so if it freezes I can just cycle the power with the phone app. But I still have to go in and click the button. Let me know if there is a way or if the jumper is in a different place. I did
not really see any jumpers at all.

Thanks for the help!

My Quantum Access LAN port stopped working after a recent Windows update. It doesn’t even show up in Device Manager. I’ve verified the cable with another laptop. Luckily the wireless adapter still works.
Any help would be appreciated.

Spectre/Meltdown Vulnerability

I was wondering if there was going to be a firmware update on Azulle machines due to the Spectre/Meltdown vulnerability?
Secondly, I am running Mint Linux on my machine. If a firmware update is required, do I need to have Windows 10 re-installed?
I have a BytePlus.

Thanks

Cannnot Update Windows any further

I am running into an infuriating issue with my Byte Plus.
In anticipation for the impending Spectre/Meltdown firmware update, I have put Windows 10 back on my machine.
With Google Chrome installed as the only other app, I cannot update Windows 10 any further due to space restrictions.
When I had Mint Linux on the machine, space on the 32gb internal drive was not a problem with all the apps I needed and updating.
I am tired of messing with this as it is taking away from my productivity. I am at 7.81 gb free and I require 8 gb. I cannot trim down any further and the USB spare space is not an option because I cannot get past the initial space requirement!
I think a new image is required!

Quantum Access – LAN: Blue Tooth Radio Problem

I have attached the BT Device Log, BT Radio Properties JPG and BT Device Manager JPG to show the problem. Has the BT Radio hardware failed or is this a software issue that I can correct?

I have updated drivers. Even downloaded Azulle’s drivers. No help.
Uninstalled drivers & device and reloaded. No help
OS is Window Pro with all updates applied.
PC always boots with same errors.

FYI – I can’t attach the event log using extension evtx. To see the event file you will need to rename file extension txt to evtx.

tnx

Hello,

Thank you for using Azulle.

I think a new image is required!

We have released a new firmware that can be used in a factory restore. This new firmware contains the latest updates and therefor avoids the issue with the space.
ftp://ftp.azulletech.com/Recovery/Byte%20Plus/ABP-WinHome1709.zip

I need a fix

A workaround for the updates would be the follow:

Download the Windows 10 ISO file (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209)
Extract the ISO file to a folder on a SD Card or External USB.
Point to the setup files, right click setup.exe file then click Run as administrator
Follow the on screen instructions.
When prompted for extra space, select your external storage device.
Wait while Windows 10 setup installs.

I cannot clear enough space for the update

Have you tried to use Disk Clean up? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59bY4wHYwtw&t=5s

Do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.

Make sure to check your TV’s Picture or Aspect Ratio Settings. Not sure what the Panasonic, looks like. For Samsung, it is under Picture -> Advanced -> Best Fit to screen. For Sharp TVs, you have to select “Pixel-to-Pixel matching option.

Good luck!

Scheduled Task Reboot – Access Plus 4GB

Issue is occurring on units with both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro. Seems to happen more often on the Pro units.

I have setup an auto reboot on all our devices at 3AM each day. Testing on 30+ devices. After each round of reboots 3-5 devices will not start back up after shutting down for the reboot. Power is present, blue light is on, but zero output to the connected touch screen. Holding the power button until it turns off or unplugging it are the only options that get a response. After doing this plugging it back in or hitting the power button allows it to boot back up normally as if nothing went wrong. In a test run of 100 reboots (I changed the schedule to reboot every 5 min for this test) every device did this at least 3/100 times, the highest failure rate was 43/100.

CMD used is: shutdown /r /t 0

I need to have them boot back up 100% of the time after a reboot command is run. If this cannot be solved I will need to find alternate hardware. We are looking at using 300-500 units of this device per year over the next several years as the core of our custom industrial controls. Please help me find a solution.

Hello jtmcdermott,

Thank you for using our forums. The internal storage in the Byte Plus can’t be replaced. It’s not upgradeable, however you can always use a microSD card o an external USB drive to expand the storage.

Do not hesitate to contact us directly if you have further questions or concerns.
